Start with your existing work
A recipe, video or cooking method you've already created can provide the starting point.
Turn an existing video or recipe into an interactive Cook Plan that works alongside it — bringing the method, live temperatures and useful prompts together while your audience cooks.
We prepare the draft. You check it, change anything you want and decide whether to publish it. Nothing goes live without your approval. We call that interactive guide a Cook Plan.
Imagine somebody finds your pulled-pork video on Wednesday and decides to cook it on Saturday. Today, they might be jumping between the video, your written recipe, a thermometer app and whatever notes they remembered to make.
A Project BBQ Cook Plan could bring those pieces together around the actual cook. The relevant part of your method, your video and the temperatures or timings that matter can be there at the stage where they're useful.
You remain the person they're learning from. Project BBQ helps them keep up.
Creator experience concept. The creator, recipes and figures shown here are illustrative. This is a direction being developed, not a released creator partnership or finished feature.
We're not interested in giving creators another fiddly content-management job. The aim is to make good use of the work you've already made.
A recipe, video or cooking method you've already created can provide the starting point.
Where permitted, Project BBQ can help pull useful stages, timings and actions from that existing material rather than asking you to type it all again.
Your method is yours. The proposed Cook Plan stays unpublished while you check it, edit it and make sure it represents your cook properly.
Only after you explicitly approve and publish the Cook Plan can it become available for people to follow. Until then, it remains a draft.
Say you've made a pulled-pork video. Normally somebody might watch it, read the recipe, keep checking their thermometer and then hunt back through the video when they can't remember what you did next.
A Cook Plan brings those pieces together while they're cooking. Your method is still the method. Your video is still the video. Project BBQ helps put the useful bit in front of them at the right stage of their cook.
That's the idea: your content becomes an interactive cook-along, connected to what is happening in the real cook.
Project BBQ shouldn't be a dead end for your audience. If somebody discovers one of your cooks here, your identity stays attached to it and they can carry on to the places where you already do business.
Make it easy for people to get back to your YouTube channel, website, socials or wherever you publish your wider work.
Where it suits you, your creator presence can point people towards your books, products, merchandise, courses or other relevant work — without turning the Cook Plan itself into an advert.
Someone who enjoys one cook can discover more of your recipes, videos and Cook Plans instead of losing the connection once dinner is served.
Your recipes, videos and methods should still feel like your work. Project BBQ's job is to help you turn that work into a useful cooking experience — not to publish an AI interpretation of it behind your back. A generated or extracted Cook Plan is a draft until you approve it.
We're also exploring ways for Project BBQ to help people discover a creator's work and then find their way back to the creator's own channels, website and other content.
The creator experience is still being shaped. We're looking for cooking creators who are willing to tell us what would genuinely be useful, what would be a nuisance, and what Project BBQ would need to get right before you'd put your name anywhere near it.
